Ron Johnston is a retired newspaper sports editor/writer, who resides in Marietta, Ohio. Born in Rochester, New York and schooled at Churchville-Chili (N.Y) and Heidelberg University in Tiffin, Ohio, he has competed, participated, written about, and been around sports his entire life. He’s also had a lung condition, known as bronchiectasis for most of his life and thrived on the adversity. Thing is, One-Game Wonder is not only about him and one game in 1965 but also about teammates, classmates, teachers, coaches, and people. GOOD PEOPLE.
